Magdalena Gurméndez
A visual artist born in Montevideo, Gurméndez is a graphic designer and has worked as an art director in several advertising agencies. She studied at the National School of Fine Arts (1993-1998) (workshop Anhelo Hernández) and graduated in 1992 from the Industrial Design Center of Montevideo. She resided in Mexico City (1986) and in Barcelona (1990-91) where she studied Computer Graphic Design in IDEP-Institució D’estudis Politecnics. She has also studied Drawing and Painting with Guillermo Fernández (2004) and Gerardo Acuña (2005-2009), and Photography in the Uruguayan Photo Club and Visual Dimension (2001-2002).
