Nicolás Bedel
Nicolás Bedel was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 30, 1974. Painting has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. He received an architect’s degree at the University of Buenos Aires and was a professor of painting. In 2004 he was a founding member of “Orgánico,” a group of multidisciplinary artists that included the legendary Clorindo Testa, with whom he exhibited at the Recoleta Cultural Center. As of 2005, Bedel splits his time between Buenos Aires and Uruguay, where he spends months researching and developing his work. There he performs individual and group shows every summer in different spaces, making his works part of important national and international collections. In 2011 he presented his individual exhibition “Micromegas y Macrogemas” at the Dabbah Torrejón Gallery and the group exhibition “Cachorros” at the Miau Miau Gallery. At the beginning of 2012 he traveled to Mexico to make a mural and in November 2012 he inaugurated “A million years of Luz de casa” in the space Machete de México D.F with Ivana Brenner.
